Summary

The Fluck Convalescent Fund is a long established charity providing grants to women and children under 18 in the City of Gloucester and local area.

Detailed description

The Fluck Convalescent Fund (FCF) is a well founded and active charity making grants totalling over £50K pa from investment income. All applications are forwarded and actioned by another organisation and, beyond recording and making the grant of up to £450 per approved case, the FCF, takes no further action. All casework is dealt with by a contracted administrator who reports to the Treasurer.

We have an immediate need to reinforce our Trustee Board - We particularly welcome applications from women, who are currently under-represented in leadership roles on our Board of Trustees. Increasing the representation of women at board level will help us better reflect and understand the communities we support, including the women and children who benefit from our grants.

New Trustees will be provided with a full briefing, invited to the bi-annual meeting and, potentially, invited to work with either the current Chair or Treasurer with a view of assuming these roles in due course.
