Join us as a Trustee

Feeding Gloucestershire is a multi-agency partnership, which was convened in July 2021. We are now beginning a new chapter in our journey as we become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, and we are seeking a Board of Trustees to drive forward our vision and mission.

As a trustee, you will be responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the organisation, furthering its aims, objectives, and goals in accordance with its strategic intent (further information can be found on our website). You will be supported by our network board, which operates at district level, and by our Project Manager and Network Coordinator.

Our Vision is for Gloucestershire to be a county where everyone can enjoy good, sustainable food and nobody goes hungry.

Our Mission is to drive systemic change to build food security across all Communities is Gloucestershire

Personal skills and qualities:

• Willingness, and ability to understand and accept the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of becoming a trustee (training will be given)

• A commitment to our vision, mission, and strategic aims.

• Ability to think strategically and creatively.

• Effective communication skills and willingness to participate as a member of a team

• A strong personal commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other trustees to develop and implement strategic plans for the organisation.

• Actively participate in board meetings, offering valuable insights and perspectives

• Work closely with the senior management team to ensure effective operations and service delivery.

• Attend occasional subcommittee meetings as required.

• Dedicate additional time for preparation and reading board papers.

• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities as needed.
