Farms for City Children
Non-profit or charity
Since Farms for City Children was founded in 1976, over 100,000 children and young people have taken home the benefits of being farmers for a week. Our immersive residentials embed invaluable connections with nature, food and farming. We provide a wealth of new experiences that young people can draw on to support their emotional wellbeing and resilience, alongside growing transferable life skills and self-expectations. We lead by example through nature-friendly, regenerative and sustainable farming practices and provide a practical introduction to higher animal welfare standards. Our aim is to provide a week of learning and nurture that empowers young people to leave us as curious, courageous and compassionate citizens.
