Dad Matters is looking for a friendly, welcoming volunteer to lead our new Stay and Play group in Cirencester. Full support and training is provided.
Session Details
- One Sunday morning a month at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Arrive at 9:45 AM for setup)
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set Up & Pack Away: Arrive ~15 minutes before the session to bring toys out of storage and get the space ready. At the end, pack them away (dads usually help tidy everything up).
- Welcome & Chat: Offer dads a hot drink, a warm smile, and an open ear.
- Create a Safe Space: Keep the atmosphere relaxed and inclusive. (Note: Dads remain responsible for their own children at all times).
What You’ll Gain
- Skills & Experience: Boost your confidence in communication, community work, and group facilitation.
- Training & Support: Receive full guidance and ongoing support from the Dad Matters team.
- A Great Community: Meet local families and connect with like-minded volunteers.
- Personal Satisfaction: A highly rewarding role that fits flexibly around your routine.
The Impact You’ll Make
Parenthood can feel isolating, especially for new fathers. By simply offering a warm welcome and a cup of tea, you help reduce isolation, promote dad mental health, and create a space where fathers feel valued and supported in playing an active role in their child's early years.
Ready to make a difference?
If you're friendly, reliable, and keen to lend an ear, we’d love to hear from you! Contact us today to get involved.
