Join Our Team as a Dads StayânâPlay Group Facilitator! đ§¸đ¨âđ§âđŚ
Dad Matters Gloucestershire is seeking dedicated volunteers to lead our Dads StayânâPlay sessionsâfun, county-wide playgroups where dads and their little ones (ages 0-5) can bond, play, and connect with other families. If youâre passionate about supporting dads and strengthening communities, this role is for you!
What Youâll Do:
- Facilitate engaging Dads StayânâPlay sessions across Gloucestershire, creating a safe and welcoming space for dads and their children to connect through play.
- Foster peer-to-peer support, helping dads share experiences and build confidence in parenting.
- Promote Dad Matters by engaging dads in community settings, sharing info, and inviting them to join (outreach).
- Keep simple, confidential records of sessions and attend regular support and training to grow your skills.
Time Commitment:
Just 3 hours per weekâa small commitment with a big impact!
Weâre Looking for Volunteers Who:
- Are parents or have parenting experience.
- Have a warm, open personality and a positive attitude toward working with people of any gender, family status, sexual identity, ethnicity, culture, religion, or ability.
- Show a sensitive, non-judgmental, and supportive approach to others.
- Understand the importance of confidentiality, especially when it comes to child wellbeing.
- Have strong communication skills, including listening and asking thoughtful questions.
- Are reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting dads.
- Can work both independently and as part of a team.
- Are willing to attend training and support sessions to develop their skills.
