Summary

Lead gardening volunteers required to help establish this brand new
project in Stow!

Detailed description

We’re developing a Community Garden behind Stow Surgery for surgery patients and local older residents to use.

We’re currently recruiting volunteers to help create the Community Garden, which will include raised beds of flowers, herbs and vegetables, accessible paths, seating and a sheltered area.

We want the garden to be a pleasant open space where people can enjoy nature’s beauty, and it will provide the opportunity for our older clients, and those referred by Stow Surgery, to take part in gentle gardening activity and outdoor exercise sessions e.g. Tai Chi or seated yoga.

As the garden project develops, it will help to support people’s wellbeing and, by simply spending time there with others, provide companionship for people.
