About Corinium Talking News

CTN is a dedicated and skilled team of volunteers who bring digitally recorded news to the blind and visually impaired in Cirencester and the surrounding areas. We also supply a number of former residents who previously received our service and, although they have since moved away, they like to keep up to date with events in the district. We produce a weekly compact disc with 80 minutes of content from The Wilts & Glos Standard. This content includes: Headline news Feature stories Community news Letters What’s on Family announcements Sports reports In addition we also supply an 80 min monthly Magazine CD which contains articles of a more lighthearted nature, various interviews & features, along with contributions from a number of regular ‘special guests’. These CDs are recorded and produced in our specialist studios and are easily navigated to enable listeners to dip in and out of the local news or magazine programs, just as we would dip in and out of a daily newspaper or magazine.
