We are looking to recruit Governors to join the Local Governing Body of our small, family school. This is an exciting opportunity to join.

We are looking to recruit Governors to join the Local Governing Body of our small, family school. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the Local Governing Body and, together with the new Headteacher, play an important role in defining the strategic direction of the school.

Siddington C of E Primary School is a member of The Corinium Education Trust and the Local Governing Body have delegated responsibilities and provide both support and challenge to the Headteacher and staff.

The Local Governing Body is made up of Governors from all walks of life with a range of backgrounds, skills, and experiences, but they are all volunteers who work together for the benefit of the school. They are the link between the school, the Corinium Education Trust, and the community it serves. Becoming a Governor offers you excellent continuing professional development opportunities.

We are currently looking for two governors: one with experience in education and another who lives locally who would like to support Siddington’s vision to be at the heart of the local community.

The Local Governing Body meets 5 times a year. Meetings are scheduled for 2 hours from 18:00-20:00 on Tuesdays. All members of our Local Governing bodies are also expected to attend The Corinium Education Trust’s governance training events 3 times a year and there may be additional training requirements as Siddington is a church school. Meetings are currently held in person at the school, which is situated in Siddington, Cirencester.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a school governor at Kemble Primary School, please contact Kathy Jackson, CET Governance Officer.
