Why we need trustees

We are seeking committed and skilled individuals to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of our charity. Trustees play a vital role in ensuring that we are well-governed, financially sustainable, and delivering maximum impact for the people we serve.

Areas of expertise we are seeking

We welcome applications from anyone with a passion for our mission, but are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:

•  Comms (and marketing) – including social media expertise, to help raise our profile with sponsors, the local community and other funders

•   Legal and Compliance – ensuring strong governance and regulatory standards.

•  Fundraising and donor relations

• Voluntary/Charity Sector – understanding challenges and opportunities within community-based organisations.

Trustee Role and Commitment

As a volunteer trustee, you will:

·       Attend Board meetings (approx. 4 times per year).

·       Contribute your expertise to strategy, planning, and decision-making.

·       Act as an ambassador for the charity in your networks.

·       Ensure that the charity meets its legal, financial, and ethical responsibilities.

·       Support our work on a practical level subject to availability
