Summary
Party in the Park by No Child Left Behind is back at Pittville Park and we need help! A free event for children, young people and families.Detailed description
We need help with a variety of tasks which include setting up prior to the event, manning information and registration points or inflatables, giving out healthy meals, assisting with the stage co-ordination, floating support, litter picking and packing up at the end of the day.
Throughout the day there will be exciting free activities run by local organisations, live performances from children and young people in music, dance and theatre, a variety of roaming entertainment and many more fun things for everyone to enjoy.
There will be four zones across the park and Prince of Wales Stadium, with different activities in each area. Highlights will include circus skills in The Big Top, BMX and skating with Team Extreme, creative arts activities such as music, dance and drama, inflatables and a wide range of physical activities hosted by Move More including a climbing wall, multi-sports and children’s races.
The event will also provide healthy meals for around 800 eligible children, funded through the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Scheme, as well as offering an advice village to families.
Refreshments for volunteers will be provided and there will be a briefing session before the event.
