Casualties Union Training Workshop

Our next Workshop will be held at Down Hatherley Village Hall.

Training for us to be ‘realistic life like’ casualties helps the emergency services gain more insight and experience in situations which can more closely mimic the real thing. It is infinitely better than using a dummy.

There are regular road traffic incidents and fires to train recruits for, and also the infrequent but truly devastating incidents which have lengthy inquiries and reports afterwards These lead to improvements and we have an important role help with training to implement new ways of working, especially across combined services training exercises.

These new ways may be once in a lifetime occurrence for some emergency staff but they can never know. It is all about preparedness.

Being ‘real’ for doctors and paramedics takes knowledge and preparation but is incredibly rewarding. Come and join us making a significant contribution and have a lot of fun doing it.
