Summary

The Stay & Play Volunteer role would be ideal for a reliable, friendly and adaptable person who is willing to help run the weekly sessions in Gloucestershire.

Detailed description

Are you a creative and welcoming person?

Are you enthusiastic about supporting parents/carers in a fun environment?

The Stay & Play Volunteer role would be ideal for a reliable, friendly and adaptable person who is willing to help run the weekly sessions in Gloucestershire.

These sessions benefit the local community and visiting parents/carers with their children, and our volunteers make all the difference.

We currently have the following groups running:

Cheltenham runs every Monday 10:00-11:30am.

Cheltenham Twins Group runs every Monday 10:00am-11:30am.

Tewkesbury runs every Thursday 1:00pm-2:30pm.

You’ll be responsible for setting up the room, and ensuring it is left clear at the end of the session. You’ll engage with people at the sessions, and help to develop new ideas with the group for seasonal events and special occasions.

About CCP - Caring for Communities and People

As a charity delivering services across the South West, CCP prevents the causes, and reduces the effects, of homelessness, family breakdown and social isolation. Last year we supported 9,926 people to access:
• safe, stable accommodation to young people, children in care and vulnerable adults
• support to avoid someone losing their home
• family support to parents feeling overwhelmed
• social and friendship groups to avoid, or come out of, isolation.
• affordable food and other essentials through our Community Pantry

With a head office in Cheltenham, we currently employ 270 staff, backed up by a team of 65 volunteers, and deliver services and projects in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, Devon and Dorset.
