Do you love being outdoors? Do you love gardening? Do you want to help enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities and or autism within your community?
We are looking for a volunteer to run our allotment in Stonehouse for a group of 6 adults with a learning disability. The allotment will need to be managed and maintained from April till October. The allotment is currently run by a wonderful volunteer on Wednesdays at 10am-11:30am, but we are looking for an additional volunteer to work alongside her.
Our ideal volunteer is someone who has a keen interest in gardening, is sociable, outgoing, and friendly. You’ll need to be committed to building empowering relationships with people with learning disabilities and autism. No previous experience necessary.
Full training will be provided. We cover all expenses. You will need to undergo a full DBS check of which we will fund.
