The Parish Council is creating a Community Kitchen to provide practical advice on healthy eating and nutritious family meals in a pop up cafe/restaurant.Detailed description
The Community Kitchen will provide practical advice on healthy eating and the preparation of balanced meals for all the family. The Community Kitchen will also be working with the Brockworth Food Larder to provide advice on how best to manage a weekly budget. The Community Kitchen will comprise two elements. Firstly, a 'teaching kitchen' is planned where parents can learn how to prepare nutritious meals under the guidance of experienced cooks; and secondly, a 'pop up' cafe/restaurant where the prepared food can be served.
We are seeking volunteers to assist in running the pop up cafe/restaurant and also within the teaching kitchen. No previous experience of catering or restaurant working is required, but if you do have previous experience that would be great. Any necessary food safety training can be provided.
We are proposing to open the the Community Kitchen in late July.
