Afternoon Hedgehog Care Assistant

Afternoon Care Assistant -1pm - 5pm on the same morning each week, with a minimum of 42 weeks of the year. The minimum age for volunteering due to our insurance is 21. Application forms are available on our website.

Reliability and Commitment are both important to the role as it is a hands on role caring for sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs.

Duties will include

Cleaning cages, Setting up new cages, food prep, weighing and recording information, keeping records accurate and up to date, processing any new admissions, Hand feeding hoglets – full training will be given (possibly in your own home) general rescue jobs including washing up, cleaning, newspaper prep, washing etc, serving in the shop. Rescue admin and helping at fundraising events . There is the option to be trained to help with medicating the hedgehogs if you wish.
