Support Aspire Foundation as a Finance Trustee, guiding charity finances to help children and families thrive. Bring your skills and make a real impact.

Aspire Foundation is seeking a Finance Trustee to join our Board and help strengthen the charity’s financial oversight as we continue supporting children and families across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. This voluntary role is ideal for someone who wants to use their professional skills to make a meaningful difference within a values‑led organisation.

Aspire Foundation has been delivering high‑quality early intervention services, children’s centre programmes and Early Years education for more than 20 years. Our work is rooted in partnership, community and a commitment to giving children the best possible start in life. As a Finance Trustee, you will play an important part in guiding our strategic direction and ensuring our financial governance remains robust, transparent and forward‑looking.

We welcome applicants with experience or enthusiasm in charity finance, budgeting, financial reporting or grant funding. An understanding of small‑charity operations is helpful, though not essential. What matters most is a thoughtful approach, a willingness to contribute and a genuine commitment to our mission.

In this role, you will support the effective running of the Board, work closely with the Organisation Strategic Lead and Senior Management Team, and provide financial insight that helps shape decision‑making. Trustees offer strategic oversight, constructive challenge and supportive guidance. You may also take part in recruitment processes for senior roles within the charity. The Board meets around 6 times a year, usually in the late afternoon.

Aspire Foundation’s values guide everything we do. We value, accept, listen and support everyone. We are honest, dependable and accountable for our actions. We believe in the power of working together. We strive to do our best through innovation and learning.

If you would like to contribute your skills to a charity with a strong track record and a warm, community‑focused ethos, we would be delighted to hear from you.
