Detailed description

This is about the Event.

Do you have a view on youth violence in Gloucestershire?

Do you want your voice heard?

Do you want to make a change that will impact your community?

If you have answered yes to the above questions or know any young people that feel passionate about this topic. We would like to invite you to our Changemaker event on the 11th of October at 5-7pm.

The event is to recruit young people aged 10 – 20 to become a change maker and create a better community in Gloucestershire. If you know anyone who has a passion for change, come along to see what we are doing, to get involved, and sign up to be a changemaker (This will be discussed further on the day). This is also to inform other agencies who we are and what we are planning to do.

The Peer Action Collective (PAC) is a ground-breaking network of young people, who are designing and conducting research about young people’s experiences of violence. They’ll then be supported to turn what they’ve learned into action. From campaigning to improve local mental health services, setting up a youth centre or supporting young people into employment – the PAC will create opportunities for young people to make their community a safer, fairer place.

About Young Gloucestershire

Young Gloucestershire (YG) is a countywide charity that supports disadvantaged young people who are facing challenges in their lives.

YG supports young people who are facing some very difficult times; whether it be a disruptive home life, caring for a family member or coping with a mental health issue. Young people turn to us for help and we offer them practical ways to find confidence and develop the skills they need to get on track and to move into a job, education or training.

YG’s vision is for young people to have the confidence motivation and skills to improve their lives. We work to achieve this vision by creating opportunities that educate, inform and inspire.
