Summary
We are looking for volunteers to listen to our children read and support them with becoming fluent readers. Unfortunately, not all children are read to at home.Detailed description
Our aim is to get all children becoming fluent readers who want to and enjoy picking up a book. this comes from being a successful reader which only comes with practice. Some of our children do not come from households where books are commonplace. We know reading is so key to being successful in life.
Ideally, we would like to find volunteers who can commit to a set time per week - for example, every Thursday afternoon.
Full training will be provided and we will also require volunteers to be DBS checked which we can do through the school. You don't need one in advance.
