Monday Evening Space 51 Volunteer

Space 51 is our space for young people in their GCSE years & beyond, who want some space to call their own and shape into what they need. Activities could include cookery, sports, dance, films, drama, discussion, etc. It’s all about having fun and being supported through those final years of secondary school.  

We are looking for volunteers to support young people in all the various activities that might happen within a session and help manage the spaces available for the young people. Additionally, supporting young people relationally and being able to talk through various topics that arise as affecting young people. If you enjoy sports/games and anything creative it’s definitely the space for you.  

Volunteers both male and female, from all age groups and backgrounds are welcomed, however the minimum age for this role is 18. DBS checks are carried out, however a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from volunteering. Our skilled Youth Workers have experience with working with young people and are on hand to offer advice and support. All volunteers will have induction training to include Safeguarding prior to volunteering. There is also further training opportunities available in Food Hygiene, First Aid & more.
