Summary

Café volunteer in the kitchen includes setting up the kitchen ready for the café, making and serving hot drinks/breakfast items (not cooking)

Detailed description

The café/Warm hub has many roles as a volunteer. The café runs every Thursday 2pm - 4.15pm You can do as many or as few hours that suit you, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, whatever suits you!

The warm hub runs alongside a Stroud District Foodbank session and is next to the local primary school so parents and children drop in too.

The kitchen volunteer would be responsible for setting the kitchen up ready for the café opening at 2.30pm (set up takes 15-20 mins). Set up includes, preparing a self service station which includes pump flask, tea , coffe mugs etc. then preparing hot drinks and providing toast/cereals/snacks if required - no cooking is involved at the moment.

During the session keep the kitchen clean, tidy and safe. Then at the end make sure everything is clean and put away as the building is used by others.

If this interests you but you aren't able to get there early to set up that's not a problem! You are welcome to come for a visit before hand and see how it all works!
