Currently consisting of just one raised bed, this funding will allow for two additional vegetable beds and seeds / plants to grow fruit and vegetables. Volunteers are needed initially to set up the garden, potentially constructing raised beds, filling them with soil, building a mini greenhouse etc. Then, moving on to sewing seeds and planting them out. Following the end of the project funding in March, volunteers are invited to continue maintaining the community garden more independently alone or as a small group.

Ordinarily, the community garden group meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 1pm -3pm. However, during January / February addition dates and times will be available to volunteer. We will have some flexibility to work around your available, within opening hours of the community hub.
