Volunteer Digital Champions

At Springbank Community Group, we are committed to helping people in Cheltenham get online, stay connected, and feel confident using technology in their daily lives — but we can’t do it without volunteers.

We are looking for Volunteer Digital Champions who can spare an hour or two each week to support members of our community with basic digital skills. This might include helping someone set up an email address, access online services such as GP appointments or Universal Credit, use video calls to stay connected with family, or simply build confidence using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop.

You don’t need to be an IT expert. If you are patient, approachable, and enjoy helping others solve everyday tech problems, you could make a real difference. Many of the people we support feel isolated or excluded because they lack digital confidence, and your support can help open doors to employment, education, healthcare, and social connection.

Volunteering as a Digital Champion is also a great way to give back to your community, meet new people, and develop your own communication and support skills. Full guidance and support will be provided.
