We're looking for a treasurer to support the financial aspects of running our community childcare setting.
Purpose
To oversee the playgroup's finances, ensuring funds are managed responsibly, records are accurate, and the committee has the financial information it needs to make decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep accurate, up-to-date financial records
- Prepare a financial report for each committee meeting
- Prepare annual accounts/statements for the AGM
- Work with the Chair on budgeting and forecasting for the coming year
- Monitor cash flow and flag any concerns early
- Support grant and funding applications with financial data where needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies (e.g. safeguarding of funds, Charity Commission or CIC reporting requirements, if registered)
This role provides fantastic experience in financial management so is a great fit for those looking to develop their CV in this area. It would also be a great fit for individuals with experience in this area looking to make a real impact in the community.
