Our inspiring Aphasia Choir meets every fortnight on Mondays 2pm to 4pm. This is an uplifting group for those with aphasia - a communication disability.
We build communities and raise the voices of people affected by aphasia through the power of music and singing.
Led by our music therapist Satyam, can you be that extra pair of hands to ensure this group continues to go from strength to strength? No music experience needed; just an enthusiasm for the project.
Your role will be to welcome members, set up the space, encourage and motivate plus support the music therapist with the words and images to bring this class alive.
The joy of being able to sing and the evoked memories are truly heart warming.

This regular social interaction and connection with someone who understands, can help to build confidence, self-esteem and structure amongst many other positive outcomes. While you do not need to have had a stroke yourself, a commitment to this area is important.
