We are looking for volunteer drivers to help provide transport for people attending hospital appointments, local medical appointments and social activities.

As a volunteer driver, you will use your own car and give your time to help people get to important appointments and stay connected with their local community.

This is a rewarding and flexible volunteering opportunity. You can give as much or as little time as your lifestyle allows, choosing when you are available to help. We often find that volunteers increase their commitment once they get started and experience the difference they are making.

Our transport service operates on weekdays, with all journeys and arrangements organised by our Transport Co-ordinator, so you won't need to arrange journeys yourself. Travel expenses are reimbursed with a mileage payment of 55 pence per mile.

What you could gain from volunteering:

  • Make a real difference to people in your local community.
  • Help people attend essential medical appointments and enjoy social activities.
  • Meet new people and develop rewarding connections.
  • Volunteer flexibly around your existing commitments.
