As a volunteer at Llanthony Secunda Priory, you’ll be a key part of bringing our events to life and welcoming visitors to this historic site.

What you’ll do:

  • Welcome visitors and provide friendly information about the Priory and its events 
  • Support event activities and help promote what’s happening on the day 
  • Escort vehicles to parking areas when needed 
  • Keep track of visitor numbers using a clicker 
  • Help with light set up and pack down of events 
  • Keep the site tidy and presentable 
  • Work as part of a supportive, friendly team 

About the role:

You can choose which events you’d like to help with, ranging from open days, family events and live performances. Most events run between 10am to 3pm, with some evening opportunities.

We are looking for people with a willingness to get involved and an interest in Gloucester, history and culture, or community events.

Training and briefings are provided before each event.

  • Punctual and reliable 
  • Interested in heritage, culture, or community events 
  • A good team player with a flexible, possitive attitude

About Llanthony Secunda Priory Trust

Llanthony Secunda Priory in Gloucester is the remains of a once large and important Augustinian Priory which was founded outside the city walls in 1136. It is a scheduled monument with listed buildings that has played an important part in Gloucester’s history for over 900 years.
