HARE is looking for a volunteer Finance Director to support the organisation in developing robust financial strategy, to ensure organisational resilience.

HARE is looking for a volunteer Finance Director to support the organisation in developing robust financial strategy, which will ensure organisational resilience.

We seek a person with experience in business management in a finance role, either paid or as a trustee, who wishes to bring these skills to benefit an organisation working to improve physical and mental health and well-being in the Forest of Dean through meaningful connection with nature, heritage crafts and building community.

The role includes:

  • Work with the board to update, develop and implement the business plan and robust financial strategy.
  • Keep an overview of project budgets and book keeping.
  • Forecasting and finance planning, alongside the team.
  • Attend quarterly board meetings.
  • Help shape funding support bids and proposals 
  • Liaise with our accountant at end of year.
