About the Role

As a Collection Tin Volunteer for Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC), you’ll play a vital role in raising funds and awareness that keep our lifesaving service flying. You will manage and service donation tins across your local area, build relationships with businesses, and represent GWAAC in the community.

 

This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting new people, and making a meaningful difference locally.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and replace GWAAC donation tins from shops, pubs, cafés, and other venues
  • Take ownership of a designated ‘patch’, using a list of tins that need servicing
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with tin hosts and venue staff
  • Keep accurate records and ensure safe and timely return of funds
  • Attend a training session to learn our collection box procedures and safeguarding policies
  • Represent GWAAC professionally and kindly in all interactions

 

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working independently
  • Friendly, approachable communicator with a compassionate attitude
  • Willing to complete training and adhere to GWAAC guidelines
  • Passionate about supporting your local community
