Help your local air ambulance across the Forest of Dean through events, fundraising, public speaking or collection tin servicing. Flexible roles available.
Are you based in the Forest of Dean and interested in supporting your local air ambulance? We’re looking for volunteers to join the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) Ground Crew community across the Forest.
We’re particularly looking for volunteers in Lydney, Newent, Lydbrook, Coleford, Cinderford, Woolaston, Drybrook and Mitcheldean, as well as the wider Forest of Dean area.
As a Volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to support GWAAC in a way that suits your interests, skills and availability. We’re currently looking for people who would like to get involved in:
🎪 Events & Fundraising – Help us attend local events, engage with your community, raise awareness and support fundraising activities.
🎤 Public Speaking – Share the GWAAC story with local community groups, schools, clubs and organisations and help people understand the difference our lifesaving service makes.
🪣 Collection Tin Servicing – Help look after GWAAC collection tins in your local area by visiting businesses and community locations, collecting full tins and keeping tins in circulation.
By signing up for this opportunity, you’ll be invited to have a friendly chat with our Volunteer Coordinator to learn more about GWAAC, the opportunities available in your area and how your time and skills could make a difference.
Whether you have a few hours to spare occasionally or would like to become a regular volunteer, there’s a way for you to get involved.
