We are looking for some enthusiastic Schools Quiz Volunteers to join the learning team!

Starting with six schools in 1976, now over 400 children from 78 schools take part annually in the quiz and this year we celebrated its 50th anniversary!

The quiz can be the start of a lifetime love of the natural world and is a fun and challenging opportunity for the children in participating schools. Many of our current volunteers have been involved for many years and we even have some staff members who took part in the quiz themselves as children.

We are looking for some dedicated volunteers to support the area matches across Gloucestershire; there are two main roles that you could get involved in:

Area Coordinator

As an area coordinator you will be responsible for arranging and delivering matches between primary schools in a designated area. We provide the questions, you provide the enthusiasm!

Area Scorer

As an area scorer you would be responsible for supporting the area coordinator in arranging and delivering the quiz and keeping the important scores on quiz day. You may want to sign up with a partner so one of you can deliver questions and the other keep the score!

Training will be provided and you will be supported by the learning team.

In order to volunteer with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust you will need to sign up to our online volunteer portal.
