Bring your knowledge and passion to support Nightstop at this crucial time of evolution in terms of meeting the need homeless young people and those at risk.

Detailed description

We are a small but growing charity at a pivotal moment in our evolution. We are looking for someone to take on the role of Trustee. The successful candidate will have a passion for this work and if you are interested in or have a background in fundraising or communications that would be very helpful, but not essential.

As well as embedding our core services, we are developing new services and embarking on a research and partnership programme using collaboration to face the challenges to housing justice for young people.

You will work alongside a board with members dating back to 2022 and a Chair who is very experienced in governance. We have a Trustees who has experience of hosting homeless young people, and a former services user among the members.

You will offer vital knowledge and advice to thus dynamic group of people in your given area of expertise. Board meetings are Bi Monthly in person in Gloucester.

Our Executive Director has been in post 5 years and is an experienced Charity Executive Director, you will need to work openly and supportively with this post.

About Gloucestershire Nightstop

Gloucestershire Nightstop is a charity that works to prevent and end youth homelessness across Gloucestershire.
We work with 16-25 year olds and offer Emergency Accommodation through our network of Volunteer Hosts; Longer- Term Accommodation through supported lodgings; Homelessness prevention grants through Juliet's Purse; Befriending- Peer Support from young people who have experienced homelessness themselves and Advice & Support to navigate the housing system.
