Nailsworth Library is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and community-minded people to join our friendly volunteer team.
Library Volunteers work alongside library staff to help create a welcoming, friendly and vibrant library environment.
Typical activities include:
- Greeting and assisting customers
- Helping people access library services and facilities
- Supporting events, activities and displays
- Shelving and general library duties
- Promoting library services within the local community
Nailsworth Library is also open two days a week with volunteer-support only. On these days, volunteers help provide access to the library using our digital entry system.
Typical activities on these days include:
- Opening and closing the library
- Welcoming customers and providing a friendly presence
- Supporting users with self-service facilities
- Helping maintain a safe, tidy and welcoming environment
If you would prefer to only volunteer during staffed sessions then that is an option.
