The Gloucester Ambassadors are asking for volunteers to assist in providing evening walking taxis during the Three Choirs Festival.
The Welcome to Gloucester Ambassadors are asking for volunteers to help provide reassuring walking taxis to help people get back to accommodation providers, transport links and car parks during the Three Choirs Festival this July.
As festival events finish late in the evening, we are asking for volunteers to provide reassurance and company to those leaving the Cathedral quarter by leading walking groups on routes which will stop off at different destinations.
The 'Walking Taxis' will be in use daily from Saturday 25th July - Saturday 1st August. Each volunteer will be with at least 1 other person as well as the group they are leading.
The 'Walking Taxis' are not booked and there are certain departure times each evening. Once a route is complete, our volunteers and Ambassadors will then be free to end their shift once they have checked in with the coordinator.
We are looking for engaging people that are happy to work late at night, and to be fairly knowledgeable about the city. All route information will be provided. Each night there will be a brief from the coordinator to our volunteers and ambassadors.
Volunteering with the Gloucester Ambassadors, you will be eligible to make use of some great incentives provided by Three Choirs Festival. Should you then go on to sign up as an ongoing Gloucester Ambassador, you will be able to make use of fantastic discounts and offers from businesses across the city.
