The Gloucester Ambassadors are asking for volunteers to assist in providing evening walking taxis during the Gloucester History Festival.
The Welcome to Gloucester Ambassadors are asking for volunteers to help provide reassuring walking taxis to help people get back to accommodation providers, transport links and car parks during the Gloucester History Festival this September.
As festival talks finish mostly at 9pm in the evening, we are asking for volunteers to provide reassurance and company to those leaving Blackfriars Priory by leading walking groups on routes which will stop off at different destinations.
The 'Walking Taxis' will be in use daily from Friday 11th September - Sunday 20th September (excluding Sunday 13th). Each volunteer will be with at least 1 other person as well as the group they are leading.
The 'Walking Taxis' are not booked and there are certain departure times each evening. Once a route is complete, our volunteers and Ambassadors will then be free to end their shift once they have checked in with the coordinator.
We are looking for engaging people that are happy to work mid to late evening, and to be fairly knowledgeable about the city. All route information will be provided. Each night there will be a brief from the coordinator to our volunteers and ambassadors.
Volunteering with the Gloucester Ambassadors is a great way to give back to the city.
