Summary
Join us caring for trees on the reserve. The session runs from 9.30 - 12.30 pmDetailed description
We will be clearing weeds, checking tree supports and mulching trees all over the reserve. We have large amounts of mulch to move - great news for the trees as the mulch suppresses weed growth (which compete for water with the trees) and gives the trees a nutrient boost. Please bring work gloves, a bucket (if you have one) and a drink for breaktime. Meet by the main entrance at 9:30 am or find us by a mulch pile. Please contact me for a map if needed. See you there!
About Friends of Horsbere Brook
Volunteer group helping to care for and enhance the site for wildlife and people that visit. The site was built as a flood storage area in response to the 2007 floods and protects houses in Elmbridge and Longlevens. Since 2014 it has been managed as a community nature reserve.
