Join our friendly team as a Frame Running volunteer—help with setting up equipment, supporting participants on the track, and capturing moments for social media

Volunteer Role: Frame Running Assistant @ Blackbridge Athletics Track

Our Mission:

We aim to empower individuals of all abilities to experience the joy and freedom of movement through frame running—an inclusive sport that enables those with mobility challenges to run with the support of a custom running frame. Our sessions promote health, confidence, and community through accessible physical activity.

The Impact:

As a volunteer, you’ll be making a direct difference in the lives of our participants by supporting their independence, helping them achieve personal milestones, and creating a welcoming and encouraging environment. Your role ensures sessions run smoothly and safely, making a real impact through hands-on support and motivation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with setting up equipment: fitting wheels to running frames, pumping up tyres, and moving bikes from storage.
  • Help with packing down and storing equipment post-session.
  • Provide on-track support by walking or running alongside participants during their session.
  • Offer encouragement and motivation to help participants reach their goals.
  • Take photos and short videos for use on our social media channels (training provided).
  • Be a positive, supportive presence for participants, families, and fellow volunteers.

Requirements:

  • Current DBS
  • No experience needed—full training will be provided.
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to get involved.
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness for moving equipment and accompanying runners.

Join us and be part of a fun, friendly, and inclusive community where every step forward counts!
