Help keep our community shop running: welcome customers, sort stock, support sales and help create a friendly, creative space in Stroud.
Emergence Commons is a community creative space and reuse shop in central Stroud, focused on clothing reuse, repair, upcycling and creative activity.
We are looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help us keep the shop open and running smoothly from Wednesday to Saturday.
Volunteers may help with welcoming customers, sorting and pricing donated/preloved clothing, keeping displays tidy, supporting basic shop-floor sales, preparing stock, helping with small creative projects and occasionally supporting events.
You do not need retail experience. We are looking for people who are dependable, happy to work as part of a small team and interested in community, sustainability, fashion, making or reuse.
You can gain retail experience, confidence, practical skills, community connections and experience of working within a small CIC. Your help directly supports a local community space and allows us to keep offering affordable reuse, repair and creative activity.
We are especially looking for regular volunteers who can commit to a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday shift. Half-day and full-day options are available.
