Do you love getting hands-on with crafts, exploring the outdoors, or helping children discover new skills? The Dean Heritage Centre is looking for friendly, enthusiastic Activity Assistants to support our exciting family activities during school holidays and weekends — and we’d love to have you join us! 


What You’ll Be Part Of 

We offer a fantastic range of seasonal activities for families, and your help allows us to deliver an even better visitor experience. From craft sessions and woodland walks to poetry, archaeology, or even bug‑box building — every day brings something new! 


What You’ll Do 

As an Activity Assistant, you will: 

  • Support our Activities during fun, family-friendly sessions 
  • Help set up engaging activities and tidy up at the end of the day 
  • Keep craft materials topped up and ready to go 
  • Help supervise sessions to ensure families have a brilliant time 
  • Chat with families and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere 


If you enjoy being creative, active, and working with children, this is the perfect role for you! 


When We Need You 

Flexible opportunities available: 

  • 3–5 hours a day 
  • 1 or more days per week 
  • During school holidays and/or weekends 

You choose the time that works for you.

Based in the Craft Hut or elsewhere onsite at the Dean Heritage Centre.
