Exercises come up as and when and volunteers do them when they can. We have regular training on a Tuesday evening at 7:15
Volunteering with Casualties Union is interesting, creative, sociable, fun and above all gives a deep sense of worth in what we do.
All training is provided. In our meetings every three weeks, we learn how to make realistic looking wounds and complete beginners are welcome. We prepare to give accurate medical responses for realism and develop skills for personal staging for believability challenging the responders to make a distressing situation just that bit more bearable for the casualty.
We work with the Emergency Services, doctors and rescue workers among others. We bridge training from the classroom to the real job. Many have said it makes such a difference when they have faced really difficult incidents.
