We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to support our weekly creative sessions for people with moderate to severe mental health conditions.
This is a practical, hands-on role, helping our sessions run smoothly by supporting the creative environment. You won't be expected to teach or facilitate art activities, but you'll play an important part in creating a welcoming, organised and enjoyable space for everyone attending.
What you'll do:
- Help keep the creative space clean, organised and welcoming throughout the session
- Wash up and tidy work areas as needed
- Organise art materials and equipment
- Ensure materials are clean, stocked and in good working order
- Empty bins and maintain a safe, tidy environment
- Support staff with setting up and clearing away during the session
- Assist with general practical tasks as they arise
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and approachable
- Reliable, punctual and committed
- Hard-working and willing to get involved
- Able to use their own initiative
- Organised and practical
- Happy working as part of a team
No previous experience in art or mental health is required, although experience or an interest in either would be an advantage. Full induction and support will be provided.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, which we will facilitate.
By volunteering with Art for All Mental Health, you'll be helping to create a welcoming creative environment where people with moderate to severe mental health conditions feel safe, supported and able to engage in the artistic process.
