Volunteer Group Quartermaster – Help Keep Us Equipped!

Help keep our Scouts ready for adventure!

Our group enjoys a wide range of activities, camps and outdoor adventures, all of which rely on having the right equipment ready to use. We’re looking for a Volunteer Assistant Group Quartermaster to help keep our kit organised, safe and in good condition.

You’ll play an important behind-the-scenes role, making sure our volunteers have the equipment they need to give our young people great Scouting experiences.

What would you do?

  • Keep our camping and activity equipment organised and stored safely.
  • Check equipment, identify repairs and arrange replacements when needed.
  • Help prepare kit for camps and activities, and check it back in afterwards.
  • Maintain a simple inventory so we know what we have and what needs attention.
  • Help keep our storage areas tidy, accessible and well organised.
  • Work with our volunteer team to identify equipment needs and make the best use of our resources.

What skills do you need?

You don’t need previous Scouting experience. Being practical, organised and reliable is what matters most. If you enjoy sorting, maintaining or looking after equipment, this could be the ideal volunteering role for you.

You can work flexibly around your availability, and you’ll be supported by our existing team. You won’t need to attend weekly Scout meetings.

Make a practical difference

Our equipment helps over 100 young people enjoy camping, outdoor skills and exciting adventures. By keeping everything in good order, you’ll help our volunteers spend less time searching for kit and more time creating opportunities for young people.

If you enjoy being organised and want to support your local community, we’d love to hear from you!
