Summary

We're looking for people to greet our visitors, tell people about what we do and handle donation payments!

Detailed description

As a hands-on cultural volunteer, you will be available to donate a few hours a month to the Heroines Quarter, located in the heart of Gloucester. Here you’ll be a representative and advocate for the work we do and the work of the Heroines. This is a unique opportunity to be immersed in art while championing women photographers. It would also be preferable to have a knack for social media as we would love to cover live events held in our space and for you to get involved with local projects such as Glostorama! This role is perfect for a passionate person who is excited about bringing culture and photography to the forefront in Gloucester. The Heroines Quarter is fully accessible. We ask for a minimum of one shift per month, and this can be a regular shift at a fixed time or flexible each month to suit your diary. And, of course, you’re welcome to sign up for more than one!

About Hundred Heroines

Hundred Heroines (HH) is the only UK charity (registered charity number: 1190277) dedicated to advancing public awareness of women in photography. Leading women photographers (the ‘Heroines’) challenge how we see the world, push artistic and social boundaries and highlight issues of inequality. We provide an accessible and varied programme of creative, social and educational activities and opportunities, particularly empowering for young women.

Our vision is the universal recognition of women in photography – past, present & future. Our mission is to connect people with the visual arts and to share opportunities for diverse communities to celebrate women in photography.
