Summary

We are seeking new Trustees to join our Board and are specifically looking for people who have Senior Operational Management experience.

Detailed description

Do you want to help the community where you live, work or study and gain valuable skills?

Do you want to make sure your family and neighbours get the advice they need now and in the future?

We are seeking new Trustees to join our Board and are specifically looking for people who have Senior Operational Management experience with experience of chairing meetings together with a background in Finance, Legal or Marketing and Fundraising.

Our current Chair of Trustees is due to retire later in the year so there is also the opportunity to take up this role.

We would particularly welcome applications from those with lived experience of poverty and living on a low income, Black and ethnic minority candidates, disabled candidates and those from under-represented and marginalised groups. We are also keen to encourage applications from younger members of the community and those who have accessed Citizen Advice services. Previous Board experience is not required as training will be provided.

Time commitment

You’ll likely to need to give a couple of hours every two months for Board Meetings which may be online via Teams, or in person, in either Cirencester or Stroud, plus attending the AGM and a one day strategic planning meeting. Overall the total time commitment for a Trustee is approximately one day per month.

Trustees are encouraged to join a sub-committee and participate in other projects which would involve some additional time on occasions.

Please contact us for an application pack.
